API reference#
Public entry points for building lazy mosaics, configuring services, and handling failures.
Array#
Create an xarray |
Convenience wrapper around |
Compute a Dask-backed xarray or dask object with fetch-aligned thread workers. |
Thread-pool size for Dask's |
create_array builds a lazy Dask-backed xarray.DataArray. Prefer compute_with_policy() over plain .compute() on multi-tile mosaics so Dask workers match the fetch ceiling. Pass a service config (or URL where supported) as the first argument — not only a bare string for every service type.
Configs#
Serializable configuration describing how to build a service instance. |
Configuration helper for Web Coverage Services. |
Configuration helper for Web Map Services. |
Configuration helper for Web Map Tile Services. |
Configuration helper for XYZ / slippy-map tile templates. |
Presets: WCSConfig.for_ea_dsp, XYZConfig.for_openstreetmap. Custom hosts: each config’s from_url. WCSConfig.build_service() validates coverage via live DescribeCoverage (network on first create_array path that needs capabilities, not only at import time).
Types#
Common Coordinate Reference Systems. |
Supported output formats. |
Bounding box representation. |
Generic tile request parameters. |
Response from tile request. |
Errors#
Base exception for TileArray library. |
Errors related to geospatial service interactions. |
Data validation errors. |
Network-related errors. |
Data parsing errors. |
Configuration and setup errors. |
NetworkError means a tile failed after retries — mosaics do not leave silent NaN holes.
Fetch#
Configuration for |
FetchPolicy controls concurrency, retries, timeouts, rate limits, and optional AIMD / circuit-breaker behaviour. Service configs expose the same knobs and build a policy via .fetch_policy().
Registry / services#
Instantiate the appropriate service implementation for url. |
Decorator for registering service implementations. |
Infer the service type from the URL or query string. |
Client for interacting with WCS endpoints. |
Client for WMS GetMap endpoints. |
Client for WMTS GetTile endpoints (REST template or KVP). |
Client for XYZ / slippy-map tile endpoints. |
Lower-level clients and parsers also live under tilearray.service. Arrays from create_array are north-up (row 0 = north).
